Monday Mindset

Monday Mindset

I love Mondays!! All weekend I fight the urge to sneak into my office to spend time building my empire; the reason I don’t do that, and instead elect to take some downtime is because I refuse to be the sort of woman who’s life revolves around her work, to me that’s totally boring regardless of how exciting empire building is! So by Monday I’m ready to move mountains and I can’t wait to get things underway. I have my daily task list primed and ready to go and I have my “current projects” list to tackle as well. Together these lists make up all of the (inspired) activities that will carry me closer to my bigger goals day in, day out. My daily task list is non-negotialble but does require some discipline to carry it out week after week because while I thrive under the structure it’s also in my nature to rebel against it, to bunk off and go do something entirely NOT on the list just because I can. These episodes are semi-regular and I’ve learned to go with it, those moments of rebellion are often rich in reward, my creativity is high, I tap into the “real” me, the one who is a rebel at heart and from here great ideas are born. But then I go back to the discipline of my daily task list…because it works, because while it’s ok to feed my rebel once in a while, it’s this disciplined approach that dictates sustainable success. My daily task list is filled with “doing” stuff..not “planning stuff”. ***Here is where I really need...
3 Ways To Master Your Entrepreneurial Mind

3 Ways To Master Your Entrepreneurial Mind

Every single day I take the time to learn something new or revisit some old lessons to see how the meaning has shifted for me since the last time around. One of my old favourites is Tony Robbins. My history with TR goes way back. Like many of you I first came across Tony through his Personal Power infomercials that flooded our late night television! He really came onto my radar though when I was up during the night breastfeeding my baby girl. This was a time of my life when absolutely nothing was going to plan but true to form I was optimistic I could turn things around 🙂 Let me set the scene for you. I was 29 years of age and for a short time was living in a townhouse right across the road from the beach in the seaside town of Inverloch. Sound idyllic? The reason I was living in that little condo was because I and burned down my kitchen and my insurance company had put me up in the condo while the house was repaired. I had an 8 week old baby and a 2.5 year old toddler and I was on my own, the reason for the fire?? Pure exhaustion and racing around trying to juggle business, babies and the constant fighting with my ex. I’d separated from my children’s father just before I discovered I was pregnant with Chloe, my family were 2 hours away and the kids dad was absent at best…going out of his way to make my life a living misery at worst. I had my first taekwondo school...
Attack Fear with Inspired Action

Attack Fear with Inspired Action

You know the quote “fear kills more dreams than failure” but have you actually given it any real thought to how this applies to you? In all of my time as a coach (25 years) I can confidently say that FEAR is the number one “success killer” preventing entrepreneurs from having that breakthrough they dream of. Fear is a sneaky little bugger that will often disguise itself in the form of procrastination, chopping and changing ideas, bumping out deadlines and avoidance but make no mistake, this is ALL fear driven. Imagine for a moment if you decided to really go for it in your business, all of those products you promised yourself you’d launch, the stepping up of your visibility activity, the putting yourself out there for speaking and interviews, the booking the venue to hold your first live event, that bigass Facebook Ads campaign you’ve been putting off. Imagine if you stopped procrastinating over and avoiding that stuff and ACTUALLY DID IT??? What do you think is possible for you if you really go for it? And what the hell is stopping you?? I’ll tell you what’s stopping you…..FEAR, it stops you dead in your tracks every time I know. I also know you’re busily beating yourself up for NOT taking action because deep down you know that’s EXACTLY the stuff you need to be doing to succeed. So what now?? ACTION my friend. INSPIRED ACTION. The sort of action that eclipses fear and has you moving swiftly in the direction of your dreams, the sort of action that get’s results. Right now I want you to take...
What are you Waiting For?

What are you Waiting For?

How long have you been sitting on the sidelines waiting for success to land in your lap? Weeks? Months? YEARS?? How long have you been convincing yourself you don’t need to do THAT thing to get your business where you want it? Have you been telling yourself you’ll start that blog, build that funnel, run those webinars, make that phone call, launch your youtube channel…soon? How long have you been TOLERATING the fact you’re barely able to support yourself? That your business is in fact an expensive hobby rather than the thriving and successful brand you’d hoped it would be? I’ll let you in on a little secret….if nothing changes nothing changes. Right now you’re in need of big changes and BIG CHANGE requires BIG ACTION. The action you keep avoiding. The action you haven’t been able to make yourself take….on your own. You know the fastest way to reach your goals is to hire a coach to help get you there but you’re procrastinating over that too. You don’t have enough $$ right now. You’ll wait until you have the money. Only guess what. the money isn’t coming. Until you take that action. The action you haven’t been able to get yourself to take. The time to hire a coach, join a mastermind, sign up for that program is never right. It’s never comfortable. It’s a leap. THE leap you NEED to take. So what are you waiting for?? My Melbourne Mastermind kicks off next month, I’m still taking applications. We’re only 1 mastermind in, in Sydney, if you’re keen I can catch you up ahead of our...
Think There’s Something More?

Think There’s Something More?

Earlier in the week I mentioned that I was experiencing some EXTREME frustration and that it was important for us to embrace frustration. When we’re frustrated at every turn it’s important to pay attention so we can uncover what’s REALLY going on. Frustration is a signal that something needs to change. In my case frustration means I’m about to experience a growth spurt of some sort, it means I’m ready to grow and I’m feeling confined by current circumstances. After I shot Monday’s video I headed off to my usual cafe to get my thoughts down on paper and to unravel what was really going on and no surprises, in essence the issue was me feeling as though my growth had stalled across a few areas. I’m someone who expands largely but rapidly adjusts and so what was once a stretch very quickly becomes a little “meh”, so I knew it was time to up the ante on a few things. In the wash-up the changes I’ve committed to this week are….. Going all in on social and sharing what is in my heart with you all, I’m not sure when the switch flicked but for some reason I had set a bunch of rules around my social activity and how and how often I contacted my list. There was soooo much I was thinking but not saying, not deliberately but in my mind was stuff I didn’t think you guys were all that interested in however some of the streams I’ve done this week where I DID say what I was really wanting to share with you have...
