Let’s talk about love…

Most women yearn for the sort of love that ticks all of the boxes…deep connection, toe curling passion, intense attraction, a true meeting of minds….basically the type of love we see in the movies. I’d about given up on that little slice of heaven but I’ll be honest I gave it a red hot go trying to find “the one” over the years. I repeated mistake after mistake after mistake (usually the same ones) and kept finding myself back at square one. Well I did find “the one” and I cannot tell you how much richer my life is for having found this type of love, its fan-bloody-tastic! There’s a chapter on LOVE in my book because when I reflect on how this came about I realised there was a lot to be learned and shared from the experience. I was single amongst a bunch of other single women and I know for sure I approached things VERY differently to the way they did and most of them are still searching or in unhappy relationships. I was never “on the hunt” or had a strong focus on finding a relationship but I was definitely open to the possibility I was in no hurry and I knew myself well enough to know if someone wasn’t right pretty quickly. When I first met Dave I wasn’t swept off my feet by any stretch but I did have a feeling there was more to him than first met the eye. He was 5 years younger than me and as far as I was concerned that was a minus not a plus, maturity...
Introduce daily luxury

Introduce daily luxury

Living in luxury every day is not a pie in the sky idea, it is accessible to everyone regardless of budget. Elegance is truly a state of mind and the French do it best. They take time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life, you won’t see them striding along with a take-away cup of coffee, instead you will see them sitting in one of their gorgeous sidewalk cafes luxuriating in the simple pleasure of fresh coffee and time to enjoy it fully. When you think luxury I want you to think “experiences” rather than “things”. In France coffee is an experience, shopping for produce for the evening meal is an experience. We too do these things every day but our attitude to them is different, we’re rushed and looking for the shortest route possible and so life feels rushed, we’re in such a hurry…but to where?? Slow down, bring meaning to your everyday tasks and take the time to enjoy the simple things in your day that you’ve been taking for...

Let’s talk about Style…

Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak – Rachel Zoe If this is true what does your style say about you? Mine used to say “she’s fit, she’s probably a personal trainer” and to be honest even when I was a PT I never described myself this way. My image was not reflective of who I was, a guess at what I did but not who I was or am. These days people guess all sorts of stuff, doctor, lawyer, actor (lol, mum did call me a drama queen a lot as a kid so I guess that counts) all of which I find extremely amusing given I left school at 14 years of age. My style these days is what I would describe as relaxed elegance, I’m far from conservative, definitely a little edgy and comfort is important for my everyday. Gone is my usual daily uniform of nike and Lululemon and in its place you will find me wearing a cool pair of jeans, funky ankle boots or flats and a lovely zara shirt with a blazer thrown over the top. In the warmer months its gorgeous dresses and shorts with wedges. I feel much more like the whole person I am, my confidence is increased and I’m more in touch with my feminine, sensual side. Shopping is much easier these days, I know what works for me, I know what I’m comfortable in and I have a lot of fun with my style. Does your style truly reflect all facets of your...
